The Institute of Technology Sligo, a state funded third level educational institution, opened in 1970.
Construction began in 2012 on the new science block and student canteen. It involved the demolition of the old 1970’s building and the building of the new three storey school of science and canteen. The extension, due for completion in 2014, will compose of 206 new rooms, including lecture halls, scientific laboratories, staff offices, kitchens and the new canteen.
We recently completed the second phase of the contract to install the specialist gas systems for the scientific laboratories including pipelines for seven separate gases and gas detection in the new building.
